Lush Lychees Wins Silver & Bronze at Melbourne Royal Spirits Awards

We’re very excited to share some news from Lush Lychees, both of our lychee spirits have won medals at the 2026 Melbourne Royal Australian International Spirits Awards.

🥈 Silver Medal — Lush Lychees Lychee Liqueur
🥉 Bronze Medal — Lush Lychees Lychee Vodka

For two products that began with lychees grown right here on our Central Queensland farm, seeing them recognised on this stage is something we’re incredibly proud of.

From our orchard to an award-winning spirit

Our Lychee Liqueur and Lychee Vodka were created as another way to showcase the flavour of Australian lychees beyond the short fresh-fruit season.

The fruit starts here in our orchard, using our 2nd grade fruit. From there, our lychees are transformed into two very different spirits, a smooth, floral Lychee Liqueur and a vibrant, tropical Lychee Vodka. Made possible with the support of our distillers, Reef Distillers, based in Yeppoon. 

To now have both recognised with Melbourne Royal medals makes the journey from orchard to bottle even more special.

Recognised among more than 1,000 spirits

The Melbourne Royal Australian International Spirits Awards is one of Australia’s leading spirits competitions, bringing together Australian and international producers and judging entries across vodka, gin, whisky, rum, liqueurs and other spirit categories. More than 1,000 entries were assessed in the 2026 competition by a panel of industry experts.

Our Lychee Liqueur received Silver in the Fruit Liqueur class, while our Lychee Vodka received Bronze in the Flavour Infused Vodka class. 

Under Melbourne Royal’s judging standards, a Silver Medal represents an excellent spirit for its type, while Bronze recognises a very good spirit.

A proud moment for Lush Lychees

We spend most of our year growing fresh lychees, so developing products like these has been about finding new ways to capture the fruit we know and love.

These medals are a wonderful recognition of that work, and of what can be created from Australian-grown lychees.

We’re especially proud to see a fruit grown on our farm in Central Queensland being recognised alongside spirits from established producers across Australia and overseas.

And, of course, the best way to celebrate an award like this is with a glass in hand.
